How to Read Tie Rod Dimensions
The number of threads in a one-inch length of threaded rod or the space between each individual thread, expressed in millimeters, are used to determine thread pitch.
Rod thread diameter can be defined as either the interior diameter of a female end type or the exterior diameter of a male end type of threaded rod. Right-handed thread (RHT) and left-handed thread (LHT) differ in terms of thread direction.

B: Thread Size
C: Large Diameter
D: Small Diameter
E: Taper Length
F: Stud Thread Size
Measuring Inner Tie Rod Ends
The thread pitch, or how far apart the threads are spaced, and the diameter of the threaded rod end are especially important. Your tie rod won't fit if these are measured incorrectly.
Both the threaded end that connects to the steering rack and the one that attaches to the outer tie rod end need to have their diameter and thread pitch measured separately.
